Three artists, one fire: The Gaylor Project turns life’s scars into electrifying blues/rock
The Gaylor Project was formed in November of 2024, with Steve Gaylor, Pete Siracuse, and Sarah Fleener. It is an equal songwriting collaboration between the three artists. From the very first time they joined forces- there was magic. The ease and balance at which songs began to flow out of each of them was something most musicians only hope and pray for. It was evident to them that something special was happening.
Steve’s musical vision began to take shape the first night he saw Pete Siracuse perform in 2015. During Pete’s performance Steve turned to his friends and said…”I want to jam with him!” Steve’s friends thought he was crazy, but it wasn’t the first time he had set out to accomplish unbelievable goals. In 2020, the two would get together weekly as Pete began to coach Steve on guitar, building a close friendship throughout the years. In 2023 Steve told Pete of his vision to create a songwriting team. Maybe Steve was crazy!
Early in 2024, Steve and his wife Gloria were having brunch at a local brewery where Sarah Fleener was performing her solo act. Halfway through the first song, Steve looked at Gloria and said…”That’s the voice I’m looking for.” Steve approached Sarah during her first set break, and within a few weeks, they were meeting to discuss his vision. Within six months, the album was written, arranged, rehearsed, and pre-produced. When it came time to record the album, they entrusted EJ McCloud, owner of Black Sparrow Recording Studio, in North Port FL to lead the way. A true pinch-me moment.
Sarah believes that, on this album, she represents the suffering, that Pete represents the blues, and that Steve represents the hope. Steve believes that three collaborative artists working as a team can achieve things beyond their wildest dreams.
Pete believes that maybe Steve is not crazy.

Steve Gaylor is a poet, singer-songwriter, producer, and rhythm guitarist based in Venice, Florida. Steve founded The Gaylor Project in November of 2024 with Pete Siracuse and Sarah Fleener. Steve’s style of blues songwriting is a rugged, tough, punch you right in the face, type of lyricism that evokes deep emotions. His simplistic style focuses on truth, struggle, hope, despair, relationships, and mortality. He relies on the colors and textures of an emotional electric guitar lead combined with a determined voice of grit and soul. The lyrics and music allow for personal interpretations, taking the listener on an emotional journey traversing turmoil and excitement.
Although Steve has fond childhood memories connected to music, his first love was extreme sports! Motorcycle racing and barefoot waterskiing have since taken a backseat to his longtime love and passion for music. (Though there is still plenty of time for a fast lap on a racing motorcycle and doing the ¼ mile in 9 seconds at 200 miles per hour!)

Sarah performed in a series of folk music projects before stepping into the spotlight as the lead singer of a local-favorite cover band, all while building her solo career. Today, Sarah’s uniquely curated performances weave together originals and handpicked covers that span from the 1960s to the present day, creating shows that feel both nostalgic and fresh.
Raised in a musical family, finding in those early collaborations the sense of safety and home that music continues to provide. Deeply personal yet universal, her work is fueled by a love for connection and an appreciation for audiences who listen with their hearts.

From a childhood filled with instruments to sharing stages with rock legends, music has always been the heartbeat of life for Pete Siracuse. Pete’s musical roots were formed by his family. With his father a professional jazz bassist/v
Pete Siracuse is a songwriter, and multi-faceted musician (drums, bass, guitar) based in Venice, Florida. From a childhood filled with instruments to sharing stages with rock legends, music has always been the heartbeat of life for Pete Siracuse. Pete’s musical roots were formed by his family. With his father a professional jazz bassist/vocalist, and his grandfather also a musician, Pete found himself drawn to rhythm and melody at an early age.
Pete began playing the drums at just 12 years old. Throughout his teen years he added bass and guitar to his toolkit, paving the way for a professional career that has taken him from Canada to Florida, performing in some of the most respected bands in the region.
Over the past two decades, Pete has served in churches as a musician and worship leader, bringing his passion for praise and worship into every service and song.
Now, with the release of this album, Pete is stepping into a new chapter where the years of experience, heart, and faith come together in original music that tells his story.
